So yeah, I went and jumped on that homeschooling bandwagon. When we learned that we’d be returning to Colorado the date for getting Brenna into the charter school I wanted her to attend had already passed. So I said, “Hey, why don’t I just go ahead and homeschool her for first grade?” And I did. Below are the posts that talk about making that decision and what curricula I went with:

From the beginning I told Brenna that we’d take it one year at a time. If it wasn’t working for either one of us she’d go back to “regular” school the following year. In the end, she decided that although she enjoyed learning at home – and had learned much from the experience – she wanted to go back fr second grade. Neither of us regrets this decision, and we are both still open to the possibility of her return home at some point in the future in we feel it’s called for.
