The Scene: It’s 7am. I’ve been awake for about an hour; Tony was gone for PT when I woke up. The sun hasn’t yet risen but Bug is up earlier than usual. I’ve brought him straight into the bathroom as soon as I heard him talking to himself over the monitor.
He pees, I wipe him and help him off the toilet. He’s chattering away about this, that, and who-knows-what-else. As I’m helping him pull his underpants back on he says,
“I’m not a poopy. I’m a donut.“
And there goes my appetite.
