>(And, apparently, an awesomely alliterative appellation. Heh.)
Last night the chaplain’s office in Tony’s unit sponsored its annual Daddy/Daughter dance. It took no persuasion to get Tony to sign them up, given that they’ve attended one before.
April 2007; Tony and Bear (3.5 years old)
Bear spent most of the day playing outside with her friends and returned home sweaty. We put her in the shower and when she got out we began getting her ready. We picked out her dress (no easy feat; she wanted to wear the dress in the picture above, which, um, is a little bit small 2.5 years later); and I started doing her hair.
(Contrary to what it looks like in this picture, I do NOT have a mustache. Anymore.
Just an increasing facial skin discoloration issue that’s visible when I’m not wearing makeup.)

She wanted curls, she told me. So I put curlers in her hair.
Then I took the curlers out.
She hated the curls.
So I straightened her hair back to its normal state and put it back in a half pony. Just like every other day.
Because she’s my daughter, and apparently she’s just as fickle about her hair as I was.

>I love the pictures and the hair ordeal (mine would do the same thing!). What fun event!Ok now about the skin issue – email me. I am having similar issues and found a great face wash that seems to be helping.
